Job Description

Program Management Senior Advisor responsible for project execution and governance at Cigna. Ensuring alignment with scope, budget, and quality for successful project delivery in healthcare.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end project execution, ensuring alignment with approved scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations
  • Oversee final deployment and delivery of project outcomes to customers
  • Support initial post‑deployment maintenance phases to ensure solution stability and functionality
  • Identify potential project risks and issues proactively
  • Develop and implement mitigation and prevention strategies
  • Resolve issues as they arise to keep projects on track
  • Monitor project progress against milestones and deliverables
  • Track project budgets and financial performance
  • Provide regular, clear status updates and reports to stakeholders and leadership
  • Establish and maintain project governance frameworks
  • Develop and manage cutover strategies to support smooth transitions and go‑live activities

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Associate degree may be considered with equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of Project Management experience, ideally in a large operations environment
  • 10+ years of experience working on technical projects, including working knowledge of IT organizations and resource estimation processes
  • Proven ability to develop strong working relationships and establish credibility with business users and stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to drive team results and deliver projects on time, within budget, and with high quality
  • Experience with prioritization, developing project timelines, and building business cases
  • Ability to quickly learn business processes, identify key stakeholders, and anticipate potential obstacles
  • Working knowledge and experience working in an Agile environment preferred
  • Strong negotiation and conflict management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels
  • Exceptional organizational and facilitation skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
