Job Description
Senior Program Manager leading critical equipment procurement for JLL’s data center construction projects. Managing vendors, budgets, schedules, risks, and technical coordination across multiple U.S. locations.
Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end procurement strategy and execution for mission-critical data center equipment across multiple concurrent projects
- Develop and implement LLE/OFCI procurement programs aligned with construction schedules, client requirements, and budgets
- Establish strategic relationships with data center equipment manufacturers, vendors, and suppliers
- Partner with design teams, MEP engineers, commissioning agents, and construction managers on equipment specifications and integration
- Lead technical evaluations of equipment proposals, including capacity, redundancy, efficiency, and total cost of ownership
- Direct RFI, RFP, and bid evaluation processes and make procurement recommendations to senior leadership
- Negotiate commercial terms, delivery schedules, payment structures, and service-level agreements
- Manage vendor performance and resolve quality, delivery, and technical issues
- Monitor multimillion-dollar procurement budgets and provide financial reporting
- Develop integrated procurement schedules for equipment with 12–52+ week lead times
- Identify and mitigate supply-chain, manufacturing, specification, and logistics risks
- Coordinate international logistics, factory inspections, shipping, customs clearance, and on-site delivery
- Maintain equipment tracking systems, submittal logs, and procurement documentation
- Support equipment commissioning and startup activities
- Track warranties, service agreements, and spare-parts procurement
- Serve as LLE/OFCI subject-matter expert and primary point of contact
- Lead cross-functional coordination meetings and mentor junior team members
- Present executive-level procurement, budget, risk, and program-outcome reports to clients and JLL leadership
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical field from an accredited institution
- 7-10 years of progressive experience in data center construction, mission-critical equipment procurement, or data center project management roles
- Demonstrated expertise in data center mechanical and electrical systems, including power distribution, cooling infrastructure, and fire suppression systems
- Proven track record managing equipment procurement for data center projects valued at $100M+ with total equipment packages exceeding $20M
- Expert proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, project management platforms such as Procore or e-Builder, and procurement/ERP systems
- Exceptional organizational and program management skills
- Advanced communication and negotiation skills
- Strong analytical capabilities, including technical specification evaluation, financial proposal assessment, and cost-benefit analysis
- Comprehensive understanding of data center project delivery methodologies, construction sequencing, and procurement/construction schedule interdependencies
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
