Job Description
Project Manager supporting Illumina's EMEALA Medical Affairs team in strategic collaborations. Leading project progress and compliance while ensuring visibility across functions in a remote role.
Responsibilities:
- support EMEALA Medical Affairs team by driving key scientific collaborations and international consortia
- work closely with Regional Medical Leads and cross‑functional partners across Legal, Compliance, Marketing, Market Access, and Clinical Research
- ensure projects progress efficiently, compliantly, and with excellent visibility across internal teams
- develop and maintain fully integrated project schedules and tracking tools
- ensure accurate, cross‑functional project visibility and alignment
- prepare status reports, asset updates, and scenario summaries
- schedule and lead project meetings, including drafting agendas and minutes
- track and escalate action items or risks to appropriate leaders
- facilitate communication of sub‑team issues and outcomes to Regional and Clinical Research leadership
- manage interfaces between functions and ensure seamless handoffs
- lead an internal consortium core team, tracking progress across work packages
- represent Illumina in consortium governance and project management calls
- ensure timely, accurate, and compliant documentation of all activities
Requirements:
- experienced project manager
- hands-on experience managing EU-funded projects
- solid grasp of EU grant rules and processes
- exceptional communication skills (spoken and written)
- background in medical or scientific environments is highly beneficial
- fluent in English and ideally proficient in an additional major European language (e.g., French, Spanish, German, or Italian)
- strong technical skills in tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and project management platforms like Jira or Smartsheet
- highly organised, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple fast-paced initiatives
