Job Description
Senior learning design specialist shaping Udhyam’s vocational education programmes for government schools. Creating curricula, assessments and teacher training for Grades 9–10 across Madhya Pradesh.
Responsibilities:
- Shape an engaging, learner-centred Vocational Education model combining NEP/NCF-SE with Udhyam’s Entrepreneurial Mindset approach
- Bring relevant national and international insights into a practical government-school learning model
- Create and contextualise Grades 9–10 curriculum, student books/workbooks, teacher handbooks and Teaching-Learning Materials
- Design hands-on, contextual learning experiences involving exploration, choice, problem-solving and real-world work
- Develop competency-based assessments, practical tasks, project assessments, observation tools, competency rubrics, portfolios, viva/reflection tools and written assessment items
- Design and facilitate Training of Trainers, teacher-development modules and practical resources
- Build Master Trainer capacity so trainers become facilitators, coaches and programme quality anchors
- Pilot the learning approach with schools, teachers and students; gather feedback and improve the curriculum and implementation model
- Capture implementation evidence, teacher feedback, student work and learning observations to strengthen curriculum design
- Guide and support a small team of curriculum, content and training professionals
- Set direction, build team capability, review outputs and foster experimentation and continuous improvement
- Work with Udhyam teams, government stakeholders and partners to develop model schools, strengthen academic quality and prepare the programme for scale
- Support design of AI-enabled mentoring and teacher-support content aligned with programme pedagogy
Requirements:
- 6–10 years of relevant experience in curriculum design, learning design, teacher development, vocational education, experiential learning or related education programmes
- Strong ability to translate educational ideas and frameworks into simple, engaging and practical learning experiences for students and teachers
- Experience in developing curriculum, textbooks/workbooks, teacher resources or assessments
- Experience in teacher training or adult facilitation; ability to design and facilitate engaging training programmes
- Comfortable working directly with schools, teachers and learners, and using field insights to improve the learning model
- Strong conceptual thinking along with the ability to personally write, create, prototype and improve learning materials
- Curious, creative and open to experimentation; able to work in an evolving programme where not everything is already defined
- Comfortable collaborating with government teams, educators, subject experts and internal programme teams
- Experience in vocational education, project-based learning, entrepreneurship education or government-school systems would be an added advantage
- Ability to be located anywhere; Delhi/Gurgaon/Bhopal location or ability to travel frequently to Madhya Pradesh is an added advantage
