Job Description
Field sales representative promoting Amgen’s Repatha to primary-care professionals across Southern California. Managing territory accounts, clinical product education, reimbursement issues, and sales targets.
Responsibilities:
- Provide current and comprehensive knowledge of Amgen’s products and communicate clinical benefits to medical professionals
- Act as the primary customer contact and implement marketing strategy and promote Amgen products as led by the District Manager
- Deliver branded sales messages and conduct planned programs
- Schedule and follow up on medical educational programs
- Achieve or exceed territory sales targets through in-person and virtual engagement
- Develop relationships to service and manage accounts
- Customize discussions and customer interactions based on customer needs
- Ensure product access and resolve or triage reimbursement issues
- Maintain product contracts
- Provide feedback on marketing strategy
- Analyze business effectiveness of sales activities and territory performance
- Develop territory plans in partnership with the District Manager
- Partner with colleagues to share best practices and continuously learn and grow
- Build the brand throughout the sales cycle while keeping patient impact at the forefront
- Uphold Amgen values and collaborate, communicate, and remain accountable
Requirements:
- Specialty Representative: Bachelor's Degree OR Associate's degree and 4 years of Sales experience OR high school diploma/GED and 6 years of Sales experience
- Senior Specialty Representative: Bachelor's degree and 3 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field that is not sales related OR Associate degree and 6 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field that is not sales related OR High school diploma/GED and 8 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field that is not sales related
- Two or more years of sales experience within the pharmaceutical, biotech or medical device industry preferred
- Product or hospital sales experience in cardiovascular or diabetes therapeutic areas preferred
- Knowledge of associated diseases and treatments preferred
- Local market knowledge preferred
- Established relationships in the territory preferred
