  • Design resilience and availability mechanisms for payment paths, including retries, circuit breakers, idempotency, outbox/Saga patterns, and graceful degradation
  • Ensure auditability through double-entry ledgers, immutable event streams, trace-linked entities, tamper-evident trails, and reconciliation
  • Design end-to-end error boundaries, compensations, backfills, and automated replay

  • Lead production excellence through canary/blue-green rollouts, automated rollbacks, chaos drills, disaster-recovery playbooks, multi-region failover, and incident command
  • Embed security and compliance controls, including PCI scope minimization, tokenization, KMS hygiene, retention, archival, and privacy controls
  • Create developer golden paths, service templates, ADR/RFC processes, contract tests, ephemeral environments, and performance harnesses
  • Lead core domain evolution, reliability strategy, API/data governance, design reviews, postmortems, technical strategy, coding standards, mentorship, hiring, onboarding, cross-functional partnership, risk management, and build-vs-buy decisions

  • Distributed systems fundamentals, including idempotency, deduplication/outbox, ordering, consensus basics, backpressure, and concurrency control
  • Event-driven architectures on GCP Pub/Sub and Redis for fast paths
  • Strong schema design in MongoDB/Firestore and analytics/reporting patterns on ClickHouse
  • Kubernetes/GKE operations at scale, including HPA/VPA, PDBs, resource limits/requests, multi-region topologies, CI/CD, and canary/blue-green deployments
  • Reliability engineering experience with SLIs/SLOs, error budgets, capacity and load testing, incident management, and DR/BCP
  • Security and compliance knowledge, including secrets/KMS best practices, PCI basics, key rotation, data retention, and archival
  • Testing experience across unit, integration, contract, property-based, and performance testing
  • Solid understanding of Vue.js and TanStack Query
  • Exceptional technical writing and communication
  • Experience with major PSPs/local rails, active-active or multi-region designs, chaos engineering, OpenTelemetry, FinOps, PCI DSS, SOC 2/ISO 27001, or relevant privacy laws is nice to have
