Job Description
Senior Systems Architect managing enterprise IT systems for SEC ISS contract. Leading modernization initiatives and providing senior technical leadership across cloud and on-premises environments.
Responsibilities:
- Architect and manage enterprise IT systems across compute, storage, operating systems, virtualization, and cloud platforms
- Lead transformation initiatives for efficiency, performance, and scalability
- Define target-state and transition-state architectures for hybrid environments
- Ensure architecture decisions align with SEC OIT objectives
- Lead and mentor multi-discipline server and systems operations teams
- Translate functional and operational requirements into technical designs and implementation plans
- Collaborate with program, operations, and support teams to drive execution
- Provide expert guidance during incidents, changes, and high-impact initiatives
- Identify, evaluate, and recommend technologies
- Plan and execute proofs of concept, pilots, and demonstrations
- Drive adoption of automation and engineering best practices for repeatability
- Provide technical leadership for secure system integration and resilient architecture design
- Partner with security and operations teams to address risk and maintain service reliability
Requirements:
- U.S. citizenship only (no dual citizenship)
- Ability to obtain and maintain SEC Public Trust
- Bachelor's Degree
- 8+ years of experience in engineering and architecting enterprise IT systems
- Experience managing multi-discipline server and system operations teams
- Knowledge of multi-vendor server operating systems
- Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) - Server Infrastructure Certification or equivalent experience
- Ability to translate functional requirements into technical solutions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
