Job Description
GSI NAM Service Field Operations Leader providing strategic oversight of field operations in NAM region. Leading field service operations and ensuring high-quality customer support.
Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic oversight of field operations in NAM region
- Lead and coordinate field service operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality customer support
- Oversee field operation managers, field engineers and technicians
- Manage service schedules, supports customer satisfaction, and drive operational performance across HVDC, FACTS, ACIS and GIS technologies
- Drive operational excellence, safety, quality, fostering a culture of accountability
- Mentor team to deliver seamless, value-driven service that strengthens long-term customer relationships and business growth
- Supervise the field operations group
- Manage the field specialists and field engineers, their personal and skill developments
- Maintain the field group at the expected level of productivity
- Anticipate business development and develop staffing plans to support the growth
- Ensure accurate resource loading and capacity planning to meet project demands
- Maintain the field activity planning up to date
- Filter requests and guarantee stability to the field group
- Supervise 24/7 response; maintain rotation planning
- Serve as the primary point of escalation and strategic partner for the client
- Build and maintain executive-level relationships to ensure high customer satisfaction
- Cross-Functional collaboration between Project Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams
- Proactively promote EHS; maintain field people trained as per legal requirements
- Guarantee appropriate PPEs are provided to the field specialist
Requirements:
- 5 years of experience as team manager
- Prior field operations experience in Services and operations
- Strong preference for bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical Engineering
- Work exposure to Transmission and Distribution substation engineering for utilities and renewable energy power plants
- Field experience in electrical, mechanical, controls and protection disciplines
- Fluent in English and French (desirable)
