Job Description
Social Media Manager modernising an Australian recruitment and HR business’s LinkedIn presence. Creating consistent LinkedIn and Instagram content, visuals, and campaigns.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the company's LinkedIn presence, with some support for Instagram
- Develop and maintain a consistent social media content calendar
- Create engaging content about recruitment and hiring trends, job opportunities and hot roles, recruitment industry insights, blogs and educational content, company updates, milestones, birthdays, relevant events, and employer/brand topics
- Write engaging captions and supporting copy for social media posts
- Design high-quality graphics and visual content
- Explore video, motion graphics, and other engaging formats
- Schedule posts and maintain a regular publishing cadence
- Review existing content and identify opportunities to improve the quality, creativity, and consistency of the brand's social media presence
- Research competitors and industry trends and bring new content ideas to the team
- Proactively recommend new approaches, formats, and campaigns
- Collaborate with directors through regular check-ins to align content with business priorities
- Potentially post on individual team members' LinkedIn accounts
- Potentially engage with the community and respond to comments and direct messages
- Potentially create marketing collateral and support website, broader brand/marketing, and HR-related content
Requirements:
- Proven experience in social media management, particularly LinkedIn
- Experience creating content for B2B, recruitment, HR, professional services, or agency environments is highly desirable
- Strong copywriting and content creation skills
- Strong visual design and an eye for branding
- Experience developing and managing social media content calendars
- Ability to create engaging and varied content across graphics, written posts, blogs, and ideally video/motion content
- Strong understanding of LinkedIn content and engagement best practices
- Ability to independently generate and pitch new ideas
- Proactive and comfortable researching competitors and identifying opportunities
- Ability to maintain brand consistency while introducing fresh and modern creative concepts
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistent posting
- Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
- Informal, approachable personality suited to a friendly and collaborative team environment
- Ability to balance the company's established heritage with a bold, contemporary approach
- Canva proficiency; Canva is required/preferred
- CapCut experience is preferred for video editing
- Candidates may use alternative tools where they can demonstrate they are better suited to the role
- AI proficiency is welcome for content ideation, copywriting, video creation, or other marketing activities while maintaining quality and authenticity
- Portfolio showcasing previous social media work
- Portfolio preference for LinkedIn, Instagram, B2B/professional services, recruitment or agency content, creative graphics and branding, video or motion graphics, and consistency with a strong content strategy
- Must review LinkedIn content of client competitors such as Who In The Zoo and The Talent Mill
- Shortlisted candidates may be asked to complete a trial task creating 1–2 sample LinkedIn posts and captions
- Availability during Australian business hours for approximately one regular weekly check-in
- Early October 2026 target start date, with an early start preferred for handover
