Job Description
Software Development Specialist automating EHS data workflows for AECOM infrastructure clients. Building Power Platform tools, dashboards, integrations, and data structures for public- and private-sector projects.
Responsibilities:
- Design, create, and maintain business automation and intelligence tools and the data structures that supply them
- Understand client data needs and work with experts and coworkers to address them
- Plan steps, effort, and schedules required to meet client requirements
- Articulate technical challenges and proposed solutions to non-technical decision makers
- Query databases and use APIs to obtain data
- Suggest innovative solutions for client requirements
- Initiate contact with mentors and coworkers to resolve problems and questions
- Engage proactively with coworkers and clients worldwide
- Take responsibility for small solution-development projects or development tasks within larger projects
- Support clients by transforming data and automating EHS-related processes
- Accurately allocate daily time worked to appropriate projects
- Attend occasional client meetings and in-person onboarding
Requirements:
- BA/BS in Information Science, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related degree plus 4 years of experience, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- US citizenship required
- Experience designing and building process-automation tools, including PowerApps or competitive platforms
- Experience designing and building dashboards
- Working understanding of relational databases
- Strong working knowledge of Power Platform, including Canvas Power Apps, Model-Driven Power Apps, Dataverse, Power Automate, Power BI, Power Portals, and Microsoft 365 services
- Understanding of ETL processes, database design, and object-oriented programming fundamentals
- Ability to query databases and use APIs to obtain data
- Experience or knowledge of SharePoint development, web development, JavaScript, SQL databases, Azure services, Python, C#, HTML5, Node.js, React, and Esri ArcGIS solutions
- Effective client-facing communication skills
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and in team-based collaboration scenarios
- Ability to accurately allocate daily time worked to projects
