Job Description

QA Engineer leading testing for Cisco Hypershield’s cloud security management plane. Automating and validating networking, AI, logging, and storage features.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead quality assurance efforts for Hypershield’s management plane
  • Ensure seamless orchestration, administration, and enforcement of critical customer security assets
  • Validate feature sets spanning network event integration, AI engine performance, logging, and storage
  • Design and implement strategic testing methodologies
  • Identify negative trends and software defects before they affect production
  • Collaborate with developers and program leads to define comprehensive DevTest strategies
  • Foster transparency and drive product quality throughout the development lifecycle
  • Bridge technical software behavior and operational excellence to support delivery of security solutions

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of related experience, or Master’s degree plus 3 years of related experience, or PhD plus 0 years of related experience
  • Experience testing SaaS or distributed applications in cloud environments
  • Experience with API and end-to-end testing
  • Programming experience in Go, TypeScript, or Python
  • Experience designing and executing manual test cases
  • Experience developing automated tests using Cypress, Selenium, Playwright, or a similar framework
  • Experience working with Linux environments and troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of networking and security fundamentals
  • Ownership of major quality components of a product preferred
  • Hands-on experience with AWS or other public cloud infrastructure preferred
  • Experience with firewall policies and security testing preferred
  • Experience with containers or Kubernetes environments preferred
  • Experience working as part of a remote or distributed team preferred
