Job Description
Solutions Architect designing cost-optimized AWS solutions for Metal Toad, an Advanced AWS Consulting Partner. Guiding engineers, estimating projects, and supporting cloud consulting delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Design solutions for sales
- Help engineering teams construct technical solutions
- Design efficient solutions meeting client needs within budget without over-engineering
- Ensure solutions are cost optimized to maximize client ROI
- Align stakeholders from the C-suite to developer teams through slides, presentations, and other activities
- Create accurate estimates for every ticket to enable proper resource allocation
- Guide engineers toward right-size, right-cost solutions
- Participate in all phases of the SDLC, including sales, estimating, coding, program management, and other activities as needed
- Publish thought leadership content 8+ times per year, including blogs, articles, or lunch-and-learns
- Create project plans and tickets with accurate timelines and budgets
Requirements:
- Agree with the Corporate Values Statement

- Belief in the principles of open source
- 8+ years of programming experience
- Familiarity with event-oriented application architecture
- AWS Certified or able to achieve an AWS certification within 90 days
- Familiarity with ETL processes and tools
- Experience with software documentation, including data flow diagrams, data dictionaries, network diagrams, and UML diagrams
- Resume submitted in English as a PDF
- Residing in Brazil
- No visa sponsorship available
- Nice to have: experience with backend and frontend programming languages
- Nice to have: 2+ years as an architect designing solutions on AWS
- Nice to have: AWS Professional or Specialty certification
