Job Description
SNHU student virtual tutor providing weekly Zoom academic support through Learn To Be. Creating individualized tutoring schedules and mentoring students in homework, test preparation, and study skills.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a responsive line of communication with your student and their parent/guardian
- Host tutoring sessions at least once a week for 60 minutes with each student
- Support students through homework help, test prep, study skills, etc.
- Act as a mentor, not just a tutor
- Create and maintain your own schedule
- Conduct tutoring sessions over Zoom
- Complete Learn To Be FWS Tutor onboarding
Requirements:
- Current enrollment in classes as part of a Southern New Hampshire University degree program
- Work study must be part of the financial aid package
- Students with work study may be prioritized
- Consent to a DOJ Dru Sjodin Sex Offender Database Background check
- Complete all Learn To Be FWS Tutor onboarding
- Comfortable conducting sessions over Zoom
- Access to a device with internet access and a working webcam
- No prior tutoring or teaching experience required
- Students from all majors welcome to apply
