Job Description
Supplier Quality & Development Engineer at Collins Aerospace leading supplier audits and performance improvements. Collaborating across teams to enhance product quality and compliance throughout the lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
- Lead supplier qualification, audits, and performance improvement initiatives
- Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions using quality methodologies such as 8D, APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, and SPC
- Analyze supplier quality data to identify risks, trends, and opportunities for continuous improvement
- Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, and suppliers to ensure quality and regulatory compliance throughout the product lifecycle
- Support supplier development, process transfers, and new product introductions while ensuring supplier readiness
- Build trusted supplier relationships and influence sustainable quality improvements
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience)
- 4+ years of experience in Supplier Quality, Manufacturing Quality, or Supply Chain Operations
- Strong knowledge of quality systems, supplier auditing, APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, SPC, and structured problem-solving methodologies
- Experience driving supplier performance and continuous improvement; Lean Six Sigma certification is an advantage
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels
- Fluent English, both written and spoken
- Willingness to travel internationally (up to 50%)
