Job Description
Supply Chain Manager owning MRP, procurement, and supplier management for Javvy’s better-for-you café beverages. Supporting production across co-manufacturers as the brand expands into retail.
Responsibilities:
- Own the material requirements plan and planning file for raw materials, packaging, and accessories across multiple co-manufacturers
- Translate demand and production plans into material requirements using BOMs, inventory, MOQs, and supplier lead times
- Monitor material coverage, shortages, and the next 12+ weeks of production
- Convert planning signals into timely purchase orders with appropriate quantities and delivery timing
- Balance supply continuity against inventory and cash
- Surface and resolve shortages, risks, and trade-offs with planning, production, and suppliers
- Confirm open purchase orders, track ETAs, and expedite delayed shipments
- Maintain inbound schedules and communicate changes to Production & Co-Manufacturing
- Maintain ERP purchasing and inventory accuracy, including POs, item receipts, and receipt-to-invoice matching
- Resolve receiving discrepancies, shortages, and quality holds with suppliers, freight forwarders, and co-manufacturers
- Own supplier relationships, sourcing, qualification, onboarding, negotiations, and capacity planning
- Monitor commodity markets, tariffs, freight trends, and supply market dynamics
- Drive cost savings, RFQs, RFPs, competitive bids, pricing analysis, spend reporting, and supplier performance metrics
- Collaborate with Demand Planning, Production & Co-Manufacturing, Finance, R&D, and Quality
- Support innovation and new product launches through material planning and sourcing
- Ensure suppliers meet regulatory, food safety, and quality standards
- Build and improve MRP, shortage reporting, PO tracking, supplier scorecards, KPI tracking, and scalable procurement processes
- Own procurement and inventory data in NetSuite
- Report to the Director of Supply Chain
Requirements:
- 3-5+ years of materials planning, procurement, sourcing, or supply chain experience
- Hands-on experience running MRP or material planning and translating demand and production plans into material requirements and purchase orders
- Proven ability to place purchase orders, track open orders, expedite shipments, and resolve inbound issues
- Experience planning materials for external co-manufacturers or contract manufacturers, including landing materials at the plant ahead of production
- Strong supplier management and negotiation experience with a track record of driving cost savings and operational improvements
- Experience managing RFQs, contracts, supplier onboarding, and vendor performance
- Experience with supply continuity and supplier risk management
- Strong understanding of business financials and P&L drivers, with the ability to translate financial goals into procurement and sourcing strategy
- Advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills and strong attention to data accuracy
- Familiarity with ERP systems and procurement tools; NetSuite experience strongly preferred
- Experience working within high-growth companies across industries such as CPG, food & beverage, consumer products, supplements, or other fast-scaling brands
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment with shifting priorities
- Self-directed and highly organized in a remote setting, with clear, proactive written and verbal communication
- Effective cross-functional collaborator with strong ownership and follow-through
- Nice to have: experience with imported ingredients, freight forwarders, customs, and slipping ETAs
- Nice to have: background in powdered food, beverage, or supplement ingredients
- Nice to have: APICS/ASCM CPIM or ISM CPSM certification
- Nice to have: experience building planning tools, dashboards, or reporting from scratch
