Job Description
Technical Project Manager leading infrastructure, application, and data-center transformation projects at Summit. Coordinating clients and technical teams from planning through delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Support technical transformation initiatives
- Lead planning, estimation, implementation, and delivery of projects and programs
- Develop project plans covering milestones, deliverables, schedules, deadlines, changes, resource allocation, and budgets
- Coordinate project tasks and implement solutions under management guidance
- Develop and implement risk mitigation solutions
- Coordinate and attend project meetings and communicate across departments
- Coordinate with technology teams and clients to define and drive technical changes
- Compile project status reports and provide updates to clients and management
- Collaborate with and mentor other Project Managers
- Provide proactive leadership and oversight for internal and client initiatives, projects, and installations from concept through completion
- Ensure projects meet scope, requirements, deliverables, timeline, and required standards
- Review project status, identify risks, and communicate them
- Manage client expectations and balance Summit and client needs
- Serve as an escalation point for pre-installation client support issues
- Identify additional project work by communicating with clients and internal teams
Requirements:
- Experience managing complex initiatives, including new implementations at data center facilities, managed services, application and infrastructure projects
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, engineering, or related field preferred
- 3+ years in a project management office or as a project manager
- Microsoft Office Suite training
- Experience in MS Project or Visio required
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to handle a fast-paced technical office environment
- Ability to organize, run, and document complex meetings
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and delegate as needed
- Leadership to inspire technical personnel throughout project stages
- Experience working with client vision, business objectives, and critical success factors
- Experience with architecture, development, integration, and deployment of project phases
- Strong creative, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Skilled in estimating and common project management desktop tools
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and change
- Ability to manage large or multiple projects with changing priorities
