Job Description
UX Intern focused on AI & Innovation related to UX Design & Research at CIS. Collaborating on design challenges and user research for cybersecurity products.
Responsibilities:
- Research, evaluate, and use AI tools to rapidly ideate and prototype product concepts for user validation — helping us get lightweight versions in front of users faster
- Participate in user research sessions, developing an understanding of who our users are, what tasks they're trying to accomplish, and what gets in their way
- Assist in building out our user research program — including organizing and categorizing user feedback by product and user type, and helping track insights from sources like support tickets, surveys, and user interviews
- Contribute to design system and style guide work, supporting visual and interaction consistency across products
- Collaborate with the UX Team Lead, product managers, and engineers to validate ideas early and often
- Document research findings and prototype iterations, and help communicate UX recommendations across the team
- Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program in HCI, UX Design, UI Design, User Research, or a related field
- Genuine interest in AI/ML and hands-on experience with AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, or similar)
- Familiarity with prototyping tools such as Figma or similar
- Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate design decisions and research findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Curiosity about users and a genuine interest in understanding their needs, not just their behaviors
- Self-starter mentality with a bias toward action and iteration
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
