Job Description
UX Researcher conducting quantitative and qualitative research for Blue Cross NC health insurance members, providers, agents, and employers. Delivering insights that shape accessible digital experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Gather information about project requirements and establish priorities with UX research, UX design, product management, and business teams
- Plan and conduct quantitative and qualitative user research studies
- Support product designers in conducting research and following best practices
- Analyze research data to provide actionable insights and identify connections across projects
- Map user journeys and systems, and create UX personas or archetypes
- Present research findings to senior leadership, product teams, UX teams, and stakeholders
- Provide research timing and level-of-effort estimates with partners and agile teams
- Document and communicate findings in the research repository
- Participate in business and UI reviews with multidisciplinary product teams
- Coordinate research sessions, participant recruitment, and session scheduling
- Prioritize research opportunities using a “just enough research” mindset
- Conduct heuristic evaluations of websites and digital services, including competitors
- Advocate for inclusive design and accessible digital services
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in Human-Computer Interaction, Anthropology, Human Factors, Psychology, Cognitive Science, Information Sciences, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in related field
- In lieu of degree, 5+ years of experience in related field
- Experience with a wide variety of research methodologies
- Proficient with testing tools like UserZoom / UserTesting / Maze experience is a plus
- Ability to work in fast-paced agile / SCRUM environment
- Ability to analyze findings and data to deliver actionable insights
- Experience in researching Enterprise or IT systems a plus
- Experience in health insurance, healthcare, insurance or financial services a plus
- Experience with design systems and frameworks
