Job Description
Accountants documenting real-world workflows for Mercor’s AI-lab engagements. Mapping accounting specialties, decision points, and overlooked professional practices.
Responsibilities:
- Complete an approximately 30-minute written intake about accounting practice
- Describe day-to-day workflows, time allocation, and role-specific core workflows
- Explain how experienced accountants divide the field using insider distinctions rather than textbook categories
- Identify overlooked or invisible aspects of accounting work
- Inform the scope of future accounting engagements for leading AI labs
- Work on projects focused on training and enhancing AI systems
Requirements:
- Practicing or recently practicing accountant
- Experience in public accounting, corporate finance, audit, tax, or advisory
- CPA or equivalent preferred; deep domain experience without the credential also welcome
- Willingness to write detailed, specific responses about the mechanics of accounting work
- Must not be an H-1B or STEM OPT candidate
