Job Description

Digital Product Expert leading digital deposit journeys for Mashreq Bank. Translating banking needs into Agile software solutions and coordinating cross-functional squad delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the strategization, design, solutioning, development, and implementation/execution of digital solutions and journeys
  • Ensure solutions drive digital and non-digital KPIs, KPAs, MBOs, balance sheet, P&L, customer experience, and regulatory objectives
  • Develop detailed understanding of business and customer experience needs and prioritize impactful items
  • Propose and execute creative, innovative journeys and solutions
  • Prioritize and deliver in small chunks using Agile methods
  • Bridge business stakeholders and development teams to ensure seamless execution of digital initiatives
  • Own end-to-end development, management, harmonization, and phasing out of commercial products, services, channel formulas, and processes
  • Work in a squad within Mashreq’s Digital Studio with other Proxy Product Owners and experts
  • Use data/MIS, staff interviews, customer feedback/research, and business judgment to identify impactful changes
  • Finalize quarterly roadmaps with stakeholders and cost/benefit analysis
  • Manage Front End, Back End Engineers, Designers, and QA deliverables day to day
  • Evaluate and prioritize the squad backlog while maintaining conceptual and technical integrity
  • Collaborate with IT, Compliance, Operations, CX, stakeholders, Chapter leads, and system architecture teams
  • Ensure no technical debt and that all journeys are covered in disaster recovery
  • Handle urgent incidents and improvement needs; work with the Product Owner to raise OREs where required
  • Contribute to sprint planning, refinement, retrospectives, and demos
  • Direct implementation of the Product Owner’s strategy and track squad progress
  • Ensure completion of backlog items during sprints
  • Translate business solutions into working software with IT engineers
  • Master core customer journey capabilities and serve as a subject-matter expert
  • Mentor novices
  • Take ownership of key decisions and accountability for QPM commitments

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of banking experience, other related project work experience, or demonstration of high level of understanding of the banking industry
  • Minimum 2 years of experience gathering requirements and translating into user requirements, data engineering, data science, or software engineering experience
  • At least 1 year of experience within customer journey would be preferred
  • Background in engineering, technology, or UX preferred
  • Experience in Agile methodologies preferred
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with a high degree of comfort in speaking with senior leaders
