Job Description

Associate Director managing energy provider projects and client engagement within Guidehouse. Leading teams, developing strategies, and maintaining client relationships for energy-related activities.

Responsibilities:

  • As an Associate Director on the North Energy Providers team, have responsibility for development of project results and client management on large engagements
  • Own the delivery of projects and significant project workstreams
  • Interact regularly with the clients to ensure engagement success
  • Support/lead day-to-day internal team meetings and coordinate/facilitate meetings with clients and their stakeholders
  • Prepare and communicate well-organized, effective reports and presentations to clients
  • Lead proposal efforts for clients and contribute to the growth of the portfolio
  • Lead, coach, and mentor others on the team to ensure quality analysis and deliverables
  • Manage teams responsible to provide detailed research and analysis on energy-related activities
  • Maintain and strengthen existing client relationships
  • Develop and present findings and recommended plans of action directly to clients
  • Perform, advise, and review technical and business research, analyses and other work products
  • Assess emerging industry trends, manage data collection activities, or develop strategies for utility programs
  • Facilitate workshops and working sessions between client departments and third-party organizations

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering, design, business, economics, policy, environmental, science and/or related discipline
  • A minimum of 7 years of relevant industry or consulting experience excluding internships, co-ops, fellowships and academic research
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with data analysis
  • Ability to assume ownership of significant portions of tasks while collaborating with a close-knit team
  • An inquisitive nature and desire for continuous improvement
  • Superior interpersonal skills
  • Ability to collaborate as a part of team, as well as to work independently
  • Ability to manage several tasks simultaneously, prioritize and plan work activities while meeting respective deadlines
  • Strong organizational and management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills particularly in communicating across business and technical teams and with regulatory representatives
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Must currently reside in the USA
