Job Description

Associate Director / Director leading end-to-end deal execution in M&A for Boson Portfolio. Responsible for deal processes and financial oversight across MENA and APAC markets.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and Own Deal Processes: Lead transaction execution from initial target qualification through to closing, working in close collaboration with the VP of M&A and with guidance from the EVP of Finance; take personal ownership of deal timelines, quality of work, and outcomes.
  • Qualify acquisition targets early — engaging directly with founders and senior executives, reviewing initial materials, and forming an informed view on strategic fit and deal probability before committing deeper resources.
  • Perform detailed financial analysis on target company statements and underlying data, identifying trends, assessing business quality, and building a picture of sustainable earnings and risks with precision and intellectual rigour.
  • Build financial models in Excel to support valuation analysis; ensure models are accurate, well-documented, and defensible under diligence scrutiny.
  • Draft offer letters, term sheets, and deal documents; lead or participate in negotiation of deal terms, drawing on a clear understanding of CSI / Andromeda's buy-box criteria.
  • Coordinate the due diligence process through to closing — managing multiple internal and external workstreams (legal, financial, operational, IT) simultaneously and keeping all parties aligned on timelines and deliverables.
  • Maintain high-quality, ongoing relationships with decision-makers at acquisition targets throughout the deal lifecycle — from first contact through post-close.
  • Represent Andromeda well in every external interaction; exercise professional judgement and polish when engaging with business owners, investment bankers, legal counsel, and accountants on behalf of the Boson team.
  • Provide financial and accounting oversight of MENA-region BUs following acquisition, ensuring continuity and accuracy of reporting at both the unit and group level.
  • Facilitate finance integration of newly acquired businesses — working collaboratively with BU finance leads and the Boson portfolio team to establish reporting cadences, controls, and processes consistent with Andromeda standards.
  • Provide day-to-day guidance and oversight to junior M&A Execution team members as the Boson team grows; share what you know, make onboarding easier for others, and set a high bar for work quality through example.
  • Collaborate with the broader Andromeda Home Office and IMO functions as required, sharing insights on regional market dynamics and target characteristics that improve portfolio-level decision-making.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field is required.
  • CPA / CA designation, CFA, and/or MBA are strong assets and will be considered favourably.
  • 10–15+ years of progressive experience at a top-tier accounting firm, capital advisory firm, investment bank, and/or private equity firm.
  • 3–5 years of mid-market deal experience executing transactions end-to-end is mandatory; candidates without direct deal execution experience will not be considered.
  • 5+ years in a financial controller and/or financial management role is mandatory.
  • Demonstrated experience working with small, owner-managed businesses as a client or acquisition target.
  • Buy-side experience is a plus but not required.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency and exceptional financial modelling skills; able to build, stress-test, and explain a detailed valuation model independently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write clear, succinct reports and present analysis confidently to senior executives, business owners, and professional advisors.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple transactions and priorities simultaneously without compromising accuracy.
  • Confidence and professional polish in frequent interaction with Senior Executives, Business Owners, Investment Bankers, Lawyers, Accountants, and other key stakeholders.
  • Ability to work variable hours and travel within the MENA / GCC region and to Canada as required to support active transactions.
  • Must be physically located in the MENA region (UAE, KSA, Turkey, Egypt, or Jordan preferred) with all residence and work authorizations required for the country of location; the company does not provide work authorization.
