- Advise on global privacy and data protection requirements, including cross‑border data transfers and localized requirements including on user terms, notices, privacy impact assessments, vendor contracts, and consent approaches.
- Help harmonize regional requirements into global standards with pragmatic country‑level deviations that facilitate the ability to quickly expand into new jurisdictions.
- Partner with Regulatory Affairs and Product to align on regulatory pathways and compliance considerations for new features and markets.
- Build, maintain, and socialize scalable legal templates, guardrails, and playbooks that streamline international launches and reduce cycle time.

- Support the design, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of policies, training, and controls to support prompt cross‑border launches and supply chain resilience.
- Drive legal program enablement by helping to develop simple intake, triage, and review lanes; clear escalation paths; and metrics that demonstrate business enablement, internal compliance, and risk management.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) and good standing with at least one U.S. state bar (or international equivalent in a common law jurisdiction).
- 10+ years of relevant legal experience, including advising on international expansion and global privacy and/or product regulatory matters.
- Demonstrated ability to counsel cross‑functional teams (Product, Regulatory, Marketing, Sales, Engineering, Operations) in a fast‑paced environment with pragmatic, business‑forward guidance.
- Strong working knowledge of major global privacy frameworks and cross‑border transfer mechanisms, and familiarity with international consumer and marketing law considerations. Comfort translating complex, multi‑regional rules into actionable, product‑ready requirements.
- Experience building scalable legal processes (templates, playbooks, SLAs), communicating with regulators, and managing outside counsel across regions.
