Job Description

Lead Equality Now’s global events strategy, managing the annual gala and donor engagements for gender equality advocacy. Collaborate across teams to enhance brand visibility and donor relations.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of Equality Now’s global events strategy
  • Serve as the primary project manager for Equality Now’s annual gala
  • Develop and oversee the annual events calendar, integrating Development, Communications, and Program priorities
  • Manage the planning and delivery of additional events throughout the year
  • Create and manage detailed project plans that integrate input from various departments
  • Oversee all event-related workflows, ensuring timelines, deliverables, budgets, and communications plans remain on track
  • Assess event performance, documenting lessons learned and recommending improvements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 6+ years of progressively responsible experience in event planning, production, donor engagement events, or nonprofit advancement
  • Proficient in event logistics, production planning, budget management, vendor negotiation, and talent/speaker coordination
  • Proficiency with project management systems and collaboration tools (Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Zoom); experience with virtual event platforms a plus
  • Experience with CRM or fundraising databases; Raiser’s Edge/NXT preferred (for contact management & event tracking)
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in other languages is a plus
  • Strong familiarity with nonprofit events, donor engagement practices, and event-based relationship-building
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally, sometimes on short notice, and to work evenings/weekends as required by events.
