Job Description
Associate Project Manager delivering clinical laboratory implementations for Waters’ analytical technologies. Managing schedules, risks, dashboards, and customer coordination across Advanced Diagnostics projects.
Responsibilities:
- Support team capabilities through project data analysis, analytics, logistics, and project coordination
- Use Smartsheet, Salesforce, ServiceMax, and SAP as primary data sources
- Propose, collaborate on, negotiate, present, and publish reports and dashboards
- Drive efficiencies and effectiveness in project methodologies, KPIs, and goals
- Execute Clinical Laboratory Customer Implementation Projects from contract signature through project closure
- Set appropriate expectations with internal and external customers before contract for informatics migrations and assigned projects
- Drive project efforts while collecting, organizing, and distributing project and program metadata, including risks, issues, revenue recognition forecasts, and lessons learned
- Develop and communicate holistic project plans to project teams, internal leadership, and customer stakeholders
- Assemble and maintain project schedules
- Host regular internal and external project team meetings to monitor and control progress
- Update internal stakeholders on project status, trends, and forecasts
- Maintain accurate and timely weekly project data inputs
- Advise customers on organizational change management
- Manage and communicate project and organizational risks
- Engage local sales and service teams to support sustainable product placement
- Participate in continuous improvement sessions
- Coordinate project resource availability and allocations
- Interface with Waters departments to manage cross-functional processes and resolve customer-impacting issues
- Support sales partners' business objectives
- Benchmark customer processes through business reviews to identify process improvement and differentiated service opportunities
- Manage customer expectations through formal business reviews and informal calls or visits
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in life sciences, business or engineering
- 1+ years clinical laboratory experience or equivalent
- Project management experience in a technical or laboratory customer environment
- Demonstrated understanding of US Clinical Laboratory Diagnostics or Healthcare Industry
- Knowledge of Standard Laboratory Practices and Laboratory Regulatory environment (CAP, CLIA, COLA)
- Proven leadership abilities demonstrated in cross-functional projects, teams, and programs
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
- Consistent professionalism in customer and cross-team interactions
- Proficiency in risk and escalation management and conflict resolution
- Knowledge of Project Management, Risk Management, and Change Management methodologies
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% of the time
- Experience with laboratory instrumentation, automation systems and informatics (preferred)
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification (preferred)
- Advanced degree in relevant field (preferred)
- LEAN/Six Sigma knowledge or certification (preferred)
