Job Description

Junior project manager implementing finance software for German municipalities and churches. Supporting digital public-sector transformation through workshops, requirements management, and project coordination.

Responsibilities:

  • Overall responsibility for implementing software solutions for financial accounting and related processes at public administrations and churches
  • Ensure that project objectives are met in terms of quality, schedule, and budget
  • Coordinate stakeholders at all levels
  • Organize and facilitate workshops, training sessions, and acceptance testing
  • Work closely with customers, internal project teams, and external service providers
  • Ensure project documentation is maintained and provide regular progress reports
  • Manage requirements and conduct risk analyses, deriving appropriate measures
  • Start as a Consultant with comprehensive onboarding in software solutions and project methodologies
  • Gradually prepare to take on project management responsibility

Requirements:

  • Degree in business administration, economics, or public administration; ideally with a focus on financial accounting
  • Initial experience managing IT or software projects
  • Industry experience in local government would be an advantage
  • Knowledge of financial accounting and local government budgeting processes would be an advantage
  • Knowledge of traditional and agile project management methods
  • Certification such as PRINCE2 or Scrum Master would be an advantage
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills
  • Structured, solution-oriented approach to work
  • Empathy when working with diverse stakeholders
  • Willingness to travel throughout North Rhine-Westphalia, Rhineland-Palatinate, Hesse, and Saarland
  • Fluent German at a professional, negotiation level
