Job Description
Junior project manager implementing finance software for German municipalities and churches. Supporting digital public-sector transformation through workshops, requirements management, and project coordination.
Responsibilities:
- Overall responsibility for implementing software solutions for financial accounting and related processes at public administrations and churches
- Ensure that project objectives are met in terms of quality, schedule, and budget
- Coordinate stakeholders at all levels
- Organize and facilitate workshops, training sessions, and acceptance testing
- Work closely with customers, internal project teams, and external service providers
- Ensure project documentation is maintained and provide regular progress reports
- Manage requirements and conduct risk analyses, deriving appropriate measures
- Start as a Consultant with comprehensive onboarding in software solutions and project methodologies
- Gradually prepare to take on project management responsibility
Requirements:
- Degree in business administration, economics, or public administration; ideally with a focus on financial accounting
- Initial experience managing IT or software projects
- Industry experience in local government would be an advantage
- Knowledge of financial accounting and local government budgeting processes would be an advantage
- Knowledge of traditional and agile project management methods
- Certification such as PRINCE2 or Scrum Master would be an advantage
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills
- Structured, solution-oriented approach to work
- Empathy when working with diverse stakeholders
- Willingness to travel throughout North Rhine-Westphalia, Rhineland-Palatinate, Hesse, and Saarland
- Fluent German at a professional, negotiation level
