Job Description

Leading accounting team in Hyderabad for Synchrony Financial handling General Accounting activities. Managing monthly close processes and ensuring accurate financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading a team located in Hyderabad, India
  • Responsible for activities within Controllership’s General Accounting team
  • Act as the first point of contact for reviewing team members' work
  • Accounting for Secured & Unsecured debt, MSA entries, USD-CAD settlement & other related activities
  • Involved in completing various accounting-related tasks including month end close activities and manual journal entries
  • Understanding all team processes and be a detailed reviewer of deliverables
  • Assist in various cross-functional and multi-stakeholder projects

Requirements:

  • CA/ICWAI/MBA with bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance with Minimum of 4 years prior accounting/finance experience or in Lieu of a degree Minimum of 6 years prior accounting/finance experience
  • Oracle GL and Oracle Hyperion product suite
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Personal Computer proficiency (software: MS Office preferred)
  • Excellent organizational and follow-up skills
  • Excellent communication skills – both oral and written
  • Ability to manage multiple & varied priorities
