Job Description
Leading accounting team in Hyderabad for Synchrony Financial handling General Accounting activities. Managing monthly close processes and ensuring accurate financial reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Leading a team located in Hyderabad, India
- Responsible for activities within Controllership’s General Accounting team
- Act as the first point of contact for reviewing team members' work
- Accounting for Secured & Unsecured debt, MSA entries, USD-CAD settlement & other related activities
- Involved in completing various accounting-related tasks including month end close activities and manual journal entries
- Understanding all team processes and be a detailed reviewer of deliverables
- Assist in various cross-functional and multi-stakeholder projects
Requirements:
- CA/ICWAI/MBA with bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance with Minimum of 4 years prior accounting/finance experience or in Lieu of a degree Minimum of 6 years prior accounting/finance experience
- Oracle GL and Oracle Hyperion product suite
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Personal Computer proficiency (software: MS Office preferred)
- Excellent organizational and follow-up skills
- Excellent communication skills – both oral and written
- Ability to manage multiple & varied priorities
