Job Description

Field Interviewer conducting remote semi-structured interviews with older adults for survey projects. Gathering feedback on services and ensuring participant confidentiality and compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct remote semi-structured interviews (via Phone) with older adults from diverse cultural, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds
  • Gather meaningful feedback on participants' experiences and satisfaction with services
  • Independently organize and manage your interview schedule
  • Conduct interviews with empathy, creating a comfortable, unbiased environment
  • Track call dispositions and access participant information through an online file-sharing platform
  • Record interview outcomes, resolve inconsistencies, and submit findings
  • Ensure confidentiality and compliance with federal HIPAA regulations and data security
  • Maintain regular communication with Vital Research for updates and support

Requirements:

  • Bilingual English/Vietnamese with the ability to fluently speak, read, and write in both English and Vietnamese
  • Self-driven and comfortable working independently in a remote setting
  • Tech-savvy, with proficiency in Zoom and other web-based platforms
  • Comfortably working with individuals with disabilities, with sensitivity to their needs
  • Excellent communication skills to build trust and establish rapport with participants
  • Equipped with a personal computer and a secure Wi-Fi connection
  • Organized and attentive to detail to ensure accurate completion of tasks
  • Previous experience in research fieldwork, especially interviewing or observational roles (desired)
  • Familiarity with working with individuals with disabilities, group homes, or day centers (desired)
  • Sales-minded individuals who are energetic and resilient (desired)
  • Interest in professional development for future social research roles or graduate school (desired)
