Job Description

Mortgage Branch Operations Manager responsible for overseeing operations and compliance at Luminate Bank branch. Leading team to ensure efficiency, performance, and exceptional client experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the mortgage branch to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Supervise, train, and support branch staff, including processors, loan officers, and administrative personnel.
  • Monitor pipeline activity and workflow to ensure timely loan processing and closings.
  • Oversee compliance with NMLS requirements, state/federal lending regulations, and company policies.
  • Partner with corporate operations, underwriting, and compliance teams to resolve issues and improve processes.
  • Ensure customer service standards are consistently met by handling escalated client concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Prepare and analyze branch performance reports, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Implement and monitor internal controls, audits, and risk management practices.
  • Support branch manager and loan officers with recruiting, onboarding, and training initiatives.
  • Drive continuous process improvements to streamline branch operations and enhance customer/employee satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field preferred; equivalent mortgage industry experience may be considered.
  • 5+ years of mortgage industry experience, with at least 2 years in branch operations or management.
  • Strong knowledge of mortgage products, processing, underwriting, compliance, and closing.
  • Familiarity with LOS (Loan Origination Systems) and mortgage technology platforms.
  • Proven leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, regulatory-driven environment.
