Job Description
Associate Consultant redesigning and automating corporate legal workflows for Harbor, a provider of legal technology and expert services. Supporting Fortune 500 legal departments through consulting, implementation, and client delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct interviews, research, and process observations to identify automation opportunities
- Create process maps, requirements documents, and solution designs reflecting optimized workflows
- Develop and test automated workflows using no-code or low-code platforms
- Troubleshoot workflows that do not meet customer expectations
- Modify existing workflows based on changing user requirements and advocate for intuitive end-user experiences
- Provide first-line support to business and legal users of CLM platforms and legal AI tools
- Support data quality, reporting, testing, and administrative activities
- Facilitate workshops, client presentations, and real-time problem solving
- Own projects by monitoring timelines, scope, and budget
- Deliver client-facing reports, proposals, and supporting documentation
- Build expertise in legal technology tools, workflow best practices, and system integrations
- Collaborate with engineers, legal professionals, developers, and other cross-functional teams
- Monitor legal technology trends and identify opportunities for innovation and growth
Requirements:
- Four-year undergraduate degree in business, finance, legal studies, MIS, computer science, or a similar field
- Three or more years of experience in consulting, legal operations, or process automation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, especially around processes and systems
- Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly, both verbally and in writing
- Experience creating process documentation and workflow diagrams
- Comfort translating business requirements into technical specifications or configurations
- Proficiency with productivity tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Visio or Lucidchart
- Technical aptitude and willingness to learn no-code or low-code platforms
- Passion for legal technology, operations, or enterprise workflow automation
- Entrepreneurial mindset that is confident, adaptable, and proactive
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced, collaborative, and remote-first environment
- Familiarity with TAP, ServiceNow, Onit, Checkbox, Airtable, Malbek, or Tonkean is a bonus
- Experience working with legal departments or related functions is a plus
- Demonstrated leadership in academic, professional, or extracurricular settings
- Relevant internships or early-stage startup experience preferred
