Job Description
Business Development Lead expanding Shield AI’s defense-tech opportunities in Belgium, NATO, and Luxembourg. Engaging NATO customers, leading proposals, demonstrations, partnerships, and growth initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Build Shield AI business opportunities primarily in Belgium, NATO, and Luxembourg, focused on orders execution and growth
- Engage regularly with customers and NATO officials to present Shield AI's product portfolio
- Attend trade shows, exhibitions, and other industry events to promote Shield AI products
- Devise and coordinate marketing and government relations opportunities
- Build and devise industry partnership structures
- Plan and execute product demonstrations
- Work cross-functionally to respond to and address customer needs
- Lead proposal responses
- Develop offset strategies
Requirements:
- Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills; ability to communicate at all levels of business and government
- Charismatic leadership and ability to motivate and inspire others
- Thorough understanding of military operations and the acquisition process
- More than 6 years of relevant military, defense industry, or international business experience
- Self-motivated and results-oriented, with demonstrated success meeting and exceeding goals and deadlines
- Strong international relationships and ability to work across cultures and customs
- Strong technical knowledge within UAV and/or AI disciplines, or demonstrated ability to learn quickly
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally frequently and without restriction, including to customer sites
- Team-oriented and able to communicate collaboratively while being blunt and forthright
- Technical competence with systems required to function at the speed of business
- Bachelor's degree or appropriate military education
- Specific strategy or business development experience in Europe, focused on Belgium, NATO, and Luxembourg
- Background working with NATO and NSPO, including FMF and FMS
- Prior UAV or AI business development experience in a defense-related context
- Proven leadership and/or operational experience within the DoD or international equivalents such as MoD
- Understanding of Army/Navy and other operational scenarios and systems
- Strong research and analysis skills
- Relevant foreign language skills, such as European languages
