Job Description

Business Manager overseeing viral vector services at Thermo Fisher Scientific. Responsible for business management activities, financial performance, and program delivery across customer portfolios.

Responsibilities:

  • Support business management activities for customer programs and commercial portfolios
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to align commercial objectives with operational execution
  • Assist in tracking program performance metrics, risks, and business deliverables
  • Support coordination of customer-related business activities and communications
  • Assist in development of customer proposals, pricing analyses, and commercial documentation
  • Support revenue forecasting and financial tracking activities for assigned programs or accounts
  • Build collaborative working relationships with internal stakeholders and customer teams
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, consistency, and customer experience
  • Collaborate with Program Management, Sales, Site Leadership, Supply Chain, Quality, and Finance teams

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific, engineering, or business discipline required
  • MBA or advanced business degree preferred
  • 5–8 years of experience in business management, commercial operations, finance, project/program management, or related fields
  • Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, gene therapy, or CDMO environments preferred
  • Experience working in cross-functional and matrixed organizations preferred
  • Understanding of financial forecasting, commercial support, and business operations processes
  • Working knowledge of CDMO business operations and customer program environments preferred
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Experience using enterprise business systems such as Salesforce, planning tools, or project management platforms
