Job Description
Bauingenieur für Tiefbau- und Infrastrukturplanung von Großbatteriespeichern bei green flexibility. Koordination von Planungspartnern, EPC-Partnern und Bauausführung zur Unterstützung der Energiewende.
Responsibilities:
- Develop civil engineering concepts for battery energy storage projects in collaboration with internal and external planning partners
- Plan and technically evaluate earthworks, foundations, drainage systems, cable routes, and access roads
- Review technical planning documents for feasibility, quality, and cost-effectiveness
- Coordinate with specialist planners, construction companies, EPC partners, and other project stakeholders
- Integrate noise protection, fire safety, and environmental requirements into civil works and infrastructure planning
- Coordinate technical matters with internal departments as well as external planning and project partners
- Prepare, coordinate, and review construction documents
- Support projects from the planning stage through to construction implementation
- Resolve technical issues during the execution and construction phases
- Coordinate and technically manage EPC and construction partners during the construction phase
- Monitor construction quality on site
- Support and conduct technical inspections and acceptance procedures
- Ensure high-quality implementation in accordance with the plans
- Contribute to the energy transition by planning and implementing the civil infrastructure for large-scale battery energy storage systems
Requirements:
- Completed degree in civil engineering, construction engineering and management, infrastructure management, transportation engineering, or a comparable field
- Alternatively, further qualification as a civil engineering technician or master craftsperson, with relevant practical experience
- Relevant practical experience in the planning, project management, or site management of civil works or infrastructure projects
- Sound practical knowledge in several areas, such as earthworks, foundations, concrete construction, drainage, cable routes, or access roads
- Experience working with technical drawings as well as planning and construction documents
- Independent, structured, and solution-oriented approach to work
- Strong technical understanding and the ability to assess plans for practical feasibility
- Excellent communication skills when working with specialist planners, construction companies, and internal project teams
- Willingness to take responsibility for technical solutions and their quality
- Team-oriented and pragmatic approach to work
- Very good German language skills, at least C1 level
- Good English language skills
- Willingness to travel within Germany for project-related site visits
- Class B driving licence
- Knowledge of AutoCAD or comparable CAD software is an advantage
- Knowledge of the German Construction Contract Procedures (VOB) or experience working with construction companies and EPC partners is an advantage
- Experience with battery energy storage projects is not required
