Job Description

Senior Structural Engineer leading structural design for Woolpert’s data centers, industrial facilities, and advanced manufacturing projects. Coordinating multidisciplinary teams and construction documentation remotely across the United States.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead structural design efforts for data center, industrial, and advanced manufacturing projects.
  • Perform structural analysis and design for steel, reinforced concrete, and foundation systems.
  • Work closely with architectural, civil, MEP, process, and vendor teams to resolve design and coordination items.
  • Review and help prepare structural calculations, specifications, drawings, and construction documents.
  • Support QA/QC reviews and assist during construction with submittals, RFIs, field questions, and related items.
  • Guide less experienced engineers and coordinate technical work across disciplines.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of structural engineering experience.
  • Project experience should include data centers, industrial facilities, manufacturing plants, or similar technically complex projects.
  • Experience using structural analysis programs, design tools, and BIM coordination workflows.
  • Strong working knowledge of IBC, ASCE 7, ACI 318, and AISC standards.
  • Applicants must already possess work authorization in the country the job is located.
  • Structural Engineer (SE) license and/or Master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience with hyperscale data centers, seismic design, or design-build projects is helpful.
  • Mass timber design experience is a plus.
