Job Description

Clinical Implementation Manager scaling onsite clinical operations for Stepful’s surgical technology and sterile processing programs. Coordinating sites, preceptors, students, and healthcare-system clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Travel to clinical sites to lead pre-launch preparation ahead of each skills lab start
  • Confirm logistics, materials, and site readiness with site leadership
  • Identify and onboard client-side clinical coordinators at new sites
  • Schedule preceptor onboarding and confirm materials are shipped before students arrive
  • Increase travel cadence during the clinical scrubs phase and respond to ad hoc site needs
  • Build trusting relationships with students throughout clinical rotations
  • Support students through clinical remediation
  • Track cohort progress against the clinical timeline and flag at-risk students
  • Serve as primary contact for client-side clinical coordinators and preceptors
  • Onboard preceptors through in-person or virtual sessions
  • Follow up with preceptors and students to complete evaluations
  • Own biweekly check-ins with on-site coordinators
  • Present to clinical coordinators, preceptors, and hospital staff
  • Support hospital-level OR/division director relationships on multi-site accounts
  • Resolve or escalate client issues and de-escalate issues when needed
  • Partner with the Program Director and Customer Success teams to coordinate client outreach

Requirements:

  • Active NBSTSA Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or NCCT TS-C certification; or nurse/OR professional with extensive hands-on operating room experience; or associate's or nursing degree with first-assist experience
  • Comfortable presenting independently to clinical coordinators, preceptors, and client-side hospital staff
  • Experience tracking cohort or program progress and flagging at-risk students or sites early
  • Experience managing logistics of an in-person program, including skills lab setup, materials, and scheduling
  • Willingness to travel to clinical sites regularly — 50%+ of the time
  • Comfort operating with real autonomy in a fast-growing organization and building process from an unfinished playbook
  • Experience in EdTech or online/hybrid healthcare training environments is a bonus
  • Experience in a healthcare training, apprenticeship, or externship placement environment is a bonus
  • Dual certification across surgical technology and sterile processing is a bonus
