Job Description

Consumer construction lending manager overseeing residential loan operations at Pinnacle Bank. Managing loan processing, compliance, reporting, risk controls, and mortgage lending staff development.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Consumer Residential Construction Lending Department daily
  • Ensure quality service and support for internal and external clients
  • Enforce loan policy and established guidelines
  • Oversee accurate processing of loan transactions, payments, disbursements, documents, and reporting
  • Establish communication flows and service standards for client requests, complaints, and issues
  • Coordinate with staff, RLC, ALO, Legal, Compliance, Pinnacle Mortgage, and senior management to address operational issues
  • Ensure risk disciplines protect clients and the bank’s reputation
  • Develop departmental processes, procedures, guideline checklists, and worksheets based on Loan Policy requirements
  • Oversee proper loan booking and efficient movement of loans through approval
  • Monitor and manage past dues, maturities, exceptions, overdrafts, and insurance; prepare production reports
  • Ensure department employees are trained and provide onboarding training for new mortgage employees
  • Manage performance and merit processes for direct and indirect reports
  • Coach and develop team members and foster an engaged work environment
  • Work with Human Resources on employee relations, compensation, training, recruitment, and related matters
  • Observe applicable policies, procedures, laws, regulations, and risk limits; report suspected violations
  • Perform other related duties as required

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5 years of job-specific experience
  • Successful registration and issuance of a unique identification number from the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) under the SAFE Act, within the established timeframe after initial employment
  • Successful nationwide fingerprint check as part of NMLS registration
  • Knowledge of loan policy requirements and mortgage/construction lending operations
  • Ability to manage departmental reporting, loan transactions, payments, disbursements, documents, and compliance-related processes
  • Ability to communicate with internal and external clients, lenders, attorneys, executive management, and other departments
  • Ability to develop processes, procedures, checklists, and worksheets
  • Ability to monitor and manage past dues, maturities, exceptions, overdrafts, and insurance
  • Ability to train, coach, and develop employees and manage performance processes
  • Ability to observe and report risks, policy violations, and regulatory issues
  • May sit or stand for long periods; talk and hear regularly
  • Ability to climb, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl regularly; use hands and reach
  • Ability to see objects up close or at a distance, use peripheral vision, and identify basic colors
  • Up to 10 pounds of weight lifting/force exertion required
  • Travel required less than 10% of the time
  • Driver's license not required
