Job Description
Controller at Enkel managing financial strategies and insights for Canadian businesses and non-profits. Leading a team and mentoring accountants while ensuring compliance standards.
Responsibilities:
- Lead monthly financial review meetings with clients
- Translate financial data into clear, actionable insights
- Support clients with cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning
- Guide clients through year-end processes and audits
- Review and approve financial statements to ensure accuracy, integrity, and compliance
- Lead and mentor a team of bookkeepers and senior accountants
- Serve as the primary financial lead for your client portfolio
Requirements:
- 8–10+ years of experience in accounting or financial leadership roles
- Strong knowledge of Canadian GAAP and tax regulations
- Experience with Accounting Standards for Not-for-Profit Organizations is an asset
- Experience working with non-profit organizations is a strong plus
- CPA designation is an asset
- Deep experience with QuickBooks Online, Xero, Dext, and modern cloud accounting tools
- Confidence presenting financial information to founders, boards, and executive teams
- Ability to manage multiple client engagements while maintaining high quality standards.
