Job Description

Corporate Strategy Lead guiding European animal-protection organizations’ corporate campaigns for The Humane League. Building campaign capacity, delivering trainings, and driving measurable progress for animals across OWA’s European network.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide OWA member groups in Europe with strategic guidance on corporate campaign development and translate strategy into active campaign execution aligned with regional priorities, goals, and opportunities
  • Coach and support groups to build capacity for independently executing high-impact campaigns while maintaining momentum and sustainability
  • Collaborate with groups to identify challenges, troubleshoot issues, and overcome bottlenecks
  • Adapt campaign strategies and tactics to different local and regional contexts and empower groups to innovate sustainably
  • Lead in-person and virtual trainings on corporate campaigning and corporate outreach
  • Develop and maintain resources and training materials that strengthen campaign effectiveness, resilience, and autonomy
  • Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with OWA member groups as a strategic partner and catalyst for action
  • Identify opportunities for knowledge sharing and power building across member groups and the movement
  • Contribute to regional campaign strategy development and drive execution through OWA member groups
  • Report to the Senior Associate Director of OWA, Europe
  • Travel domestically and internationally on 6 or more trips per year

Requirements:

  • Previous experience with corporate pressure campaigns, corporate engagement, and/or corporate negotiations, including campaign strategy development and execution
  • Ability to assess complex situations, identify opportunities, and develop practical, context-aware solutions aligned with broader strategic goals
  • Ability to move work from planning to action, overcome obstacles, and support groups in delivering results
  • Ability to build and maintain trust-based relationships with diverse stakeholders and motivate action without direct authority
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills across diverse audiences
  • Ability to facilitate discussions, trainings, and working sessions
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal oversight and take ownership of priorities
  • Initiative, adaptability, and creative solution-oriented mindset
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities, organize work, and meet deadlines
  • Global perspective and understanding of diverse cultural, social, and political contexts
  • Deep commitment to The Humane League’s mission
  • Familiarity with the animal protection movement or other advocacy movements in Europe
  • Valid, up-to-date passport
  • Must be authorized to work in and reside in Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Netherlands, Norway, United Kingdom, Czechia, Estonia, Hungary, Italy, Portugal, Sweden, Turkiye, or Poland
  • Ability to work outside 9am–5pm at least two working days per week
