Job Description
CPG Retail Sales Manager focusing on retail growth initiatives for a premium consumer brand. Manage retail accounts and collaborate with brokers while supporting wholesale growth strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee ongoing management of key retail accounts to support growth and retention.
- Coordinate retailer follow-ups, meetings, and ongoing account communication.
- Organize pricing sheets, sell sheets, retailer documentation, and product information.
- Create and update sales decks, retailer presentations, and supporting materials.
- Prepare materials and communication for retail meetings and partnership discussions.
- Develop strategies to increase velocities, expand SKU assortment, and improve shelf placement.
- Analyze sales data, forecast demand, and identify opportunities for growth and optimization.
- Partner closely with brokers and retail partners on reorders, promotions, and performance reviews.
- Act as a strategic partner to retail customers by providing insights and category expertise.
- Lead and manage broker relationships across major retailers while ensuring accountability to sales goals and execution standards.
- Develop go-to-market strategies in partnership with brokers to drive distribution and velocity.
- Oversee outbound sales strategy and pipeline development for new retail accounts.
- Create compelling, data-driven sales presentations tailored to retail partners.
- Ensure strong execution across item setup, promotions, and merchandising initiatives.
- Collaborate with Operations to support accurate forecasting, inventory planning, and order fulfillment.
- Partner with Marketing and Product teams to support innovation, positioning, and launches based on retail insights.
- Support onboarding of new retailers and coordination of fulfillment processes.
- Drive cross-functional alignment to support wholesale growth initiatives.
Requirements:
- Experience working within CPG, food & beverage, retail, or ecommerce environments.
- Experience supporting wholesale partnerships or retail accounts preferred.
- Strong communication and relationship management skills.
- Comfortable creating presentations and retailer-facing materials.
- Highly organized with strong operational follow-through.
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities simultaneously.
- Detail-oriented and proactive with strong follow-up habits.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing brand environment.
