Job Description

Crop Business Developer managing agency relationships in North and South Carolina for Great American Insurance Group. Responsible for developing productive territories and supporting agency growth with marketing plans.

Responsibilities:

  • Has responsibility for developing a productive agency plant/territory
  • Develops marketing plan for assigned territory
  • Prospects, appoints, and manages agency relationships
  • Reviews and analyzes agents' production and results
  • Markets and provides strategic training on company products for existing and prospective agencies
  • Gathers, analyzes, and maintains competitive information
  • Monitors aggregate quality, and pricing for book of business in assigned territory
  • Uses independent judgment and initiative to achieve business goals
  • Binds risks in field and performs risk appraisals

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
  • Generally, at least 6 months of crop insurance, sales, business development or related experience preferred
  • Position requires frequent day and overnight travel
  • Experience working with a CRM program
