Job Description
Developer working on XML-based data integrations for educational offerings at velpTEC. Focused on data structure modelling and automation for consistent information exchange.
Responsibilities:
- Build, maintain and further develop a central product data structure for our educational offerings
- Develop and maintain XML-based data feeds to publish our offerings on various platforms and portals
- Model and optimize data structures and data models for consistent management of product information
- Develop and maintain transformation and integration processes for data exchange between internal and external systems
- Analyze, debug and optimize existing data flows to improve data quality and performance
- Implement and maintain interfaces and data exchange formats between different applications
- Automate data exports and data transformations (e.g., XML transformations)
- Document data structures and integration processes and collaborate with business units and development teams
Requirements:
- Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics or comparable IT qualification (e.g., IT specialist in application development)
- Strong proficiency with XML and experience structuring and processing XML data
- Experience working with SQL and MySQL
- Experience in data modeling and data structures
- Good knowledge of automating data processes and data transformations (e.g., XSLT, scripting or comparable technologies) is an advantage
- Experience with interfaces and data exchange formats between systems
- Highly developed analytical and conceptual skills
- Structured and diligent working style with a strong focus on data quality and accuracy
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) is an advantage
