Job Description
Digital Safety Monitoring Analyst monitoring alerts in OnGuard™ for Netsweeper. Identifying and escalating urgent alerts to ensure online safety for students.
Responsibilities:
- Monitoring alerts that come into the OnGuard™ platform
- Identify and escalate high priority/risk alerts based on established protocols and parameters
- Provide prompt, clear and professional communication of alerts to identified partners and/or managers following guidelines and procedures
- Completing required report and recordkeeping related to alerts and responses in an accurate and detailed manner
- Cooperate and collaborate with management in order to promote and provide innovative and compassionate service to customers and to enhance our safeguarding capabilities on a continual basis
- Attend and participate in OnGuard team meetings to contribute to service knowledge and emerging trends or themes arising in alerts and to help identify future training and service needs
Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be computer literate with a good understanding of social media and online applications
- Able to assess situations and respond promptly
- Calm and level-headed when working in stressful situations
- Comfortable working independently or with others
- Must be compassionate and understand the importance of online safety and the protection of students
- Previous experience of monitoring systems and working with sensitive information with vulnerable situations are strong assets
- Post-secondary education in fields related to nursery/preschool, primary school, social work is beneficial but not mandatory
