Job Description
Director, Business Development driving global sales strategy and execution at PaySpace's remote global team. Leading the sales operations with a strong focus on client relationship management and market expansion.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the global sales strategy in alignment with PaySpace’s overall business objectives.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing global sales team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
- Establish sales targets, KPIs, and performance metrics to drive sales growth and achieve revenue goals.
- Lead the different sales streams: direct sales, managed services, and business partners.
- Oversee the sales operations, ensuring the delivery of tailored solutions that meet client needs.
- Develop and execute strategies to expand sales offerings and market penetration.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and business partners, understanding their business requirements and aligning solutions to meet their needs.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities and markets for PaySpace’s products and services.
- Develop systems and processes to support global expansion efforts.
- Collaborate with marketing and product teams to develop go-to-market strategies and drive product positioning.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to stay ahead of industry trends and inform strategic decisions.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
- Ensure high customer satisfaction by delivering exceptional service and support.
- Address customer feedback and issues promptly, ensuring positive resolution and continuous improvement.
- Manage the sales budget, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Drive financial efficiency and optimise sales processes to enhance profitability.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting standards.
- Provide regular reports and updates to the executive team on sales performance, market trends, and strategic initiatives.
- Analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Recruit, train, and develop top sales talent, fostering a collaborative and inclusive team environment.
- Promote cross-functional collaboration between sales, marketing, product development, and customer support teams.
- Drive a culture of continuous learning and development within the sales team.
- Implement succession planning to ensure long-term team stability and growth.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent advanced degree is preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in sales leadership, focusing on global sales and sales operations.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in a complex, high-growth environment.
- Strong experience in the software, technology, or SaaS industry.
- Experience in payroll solutions and marketing.
- Exceptional leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
- Strategic thinker with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong business acumen and financial management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels.
- Proficient in CRM software and other sales management tools.
