Job Description
Business Development Manager responsible for expanding the customer base in the access control industry. Collaborating with leadership and partners to drive business growth in the Northeast region.
Responsibilities:
- Builds relationships with key business leaders to identify growth opportunities and drive new business development.
- Identifies and analyzes customer preferences to properly direct sales efforts.
- Consults with potential customers to understand their needs; identifies and suggests equipment, products, or services to meet them.
- Becomes an expert in Wavelynx’s products and services to educate the market on solutions and articulate the Wavelynx value proposition.
- Works with customers to tailor solutions using Wavelynx products.
- Works with marketing to develop sales presentations, displays, and materials.
- Reviews and analyzes sales and operational records and reports; uses data to project sales, determine profitability and targets, and identify potential new markets.
- Collaborates with executive leadership to develop sales quotas and strategies.
- Acts as company representative at trade association meetings.
Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in Business, Business Administration, or a related field, or a comparable record of sales leadership experience is required.
- At least 5 years of sales experience is required, with experience in access control or the security industry, or SaaS sales preferred.
- Previous experience in building a sales function for a product line is desired.
- Proven ability to deliver on revenue targets.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
- Excellent sales and customer service skills with proven negotiation skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
