Job Description

Director leading CRM, email, and lifecycle marketing for Rate, a tech-driven mortgage lender. Managing campaign execution, automation, email production, optimization, and a high-performing marketing team.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a high-performing team responsible for CRM campaign execution, email design and production, internal email communications, marketing automation, and lifecycle marketing
  • Own CRM marketing execution across multiple CRM and marketing platforms
  • Ensure marketing assets and campaigns are accurately built, loaded, tested, launched, and maintained
  • Oversee email design and production to ensure communications are engaging, on-brand, accurate, responsive, and optimized for performance
  • Own campaign intake and prioritization for marketing requests across the organization
  • Establish clarity around requirements, timelines, ownership, capacity, and expectations
  • Oversee campaign reporting and performance measurement
  • Identify opportunities and translate insights into action through testing, optimization, and continuous improvement
  • Partner with Marketing, Sales, Operations, Technology, Compliance, and other stakeholders to translate business needs into effective marketing solutions
  • Champion data quality and thoughtful data management, including appropriate audiences, segmentation, logic, and information
  • Create and maintain standards and best practices for CRM execution, automation, testing, quality assurance, documentation, and campaign governance
  • Monitor emerging CRM, lifecycle marketing, automation, personalization, and AI capabilities and identify practical improvements
  • Foster a collaborative, solutions-oriented team environment

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience leading and developing high-performing teams, ideally within lifecycle marketing, CRM, email marketing, or a related discipline
  • Proven track record of delivering measurable results and improving marketing performance
  • Deep knowledge of CRM and marketing automation platforms; Total Expert experience highly preferred
  • Hands-on experience with marketing automation, campaign development, audience segmentation, and customer journeys
  • Results-oriented mindset with ability to turn campaign performance and data into clear recommendations and action
  • Strong understanding of email marketing best practices, including design, testing, personalization, deliverability, measurement, and optimization
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, particularly when managing complex campaigns, workflows, and segments
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills with ability to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-moving environment
  • Collaborative leadership style and ability to build strong relationships across teams and functions
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort learning and adopting new technologies
  • Familiarity with mortgage industry workflows, terminology, and compliance standards is a plus, but not required
  • Proactive, curious mindset and willingness to learn and challenge the status quo
