Job Description
Director of Operations overseeing logistics operations in the Northeast region at DSV. Providing strategic leadership to maximize growth and profitability in a complex environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provides overall direction and guidance to the operational activities of the organization
- Develops and implements long and short-term strategies to achieve financial and growth targets
- Ensures operational excellence within and across our core services
- Provides leadership and creates an environment that fosters passion, teamwork and agility within the organization
- Builds and sustains long-term client relationships
- Plans and successfully executes start-up facilities for new business
- Contributes as a key member to our sales and solutions team in winning key strategic accounts
- Develops and implements an operations strategy tailored to our client.
Requirements:
- Master’s degree preferred
- Third-party logistics experience is preferred but not required
- Strong proficiency in MS Office applications
- Involvement in relevant professional organizations is desirable
- English (reading, writing, and verbal)
- Intermediate mathematical, accounting, and financial skills
- Excellent verbal, written and visual/presentation communication skills.
