Job Description

Director leading Billtrust’s invoicing product strategy for AI-powered B2B accounts receivable and payment software. Managing product managers, e-invoicing compliance, AP portal connectivity, automation, commercialization, and customer adoption.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the commercial and strategic success of Billtrust’s Invoicing product line across buyer-facing and supplier-facing experiences, global e-invoicing compliance, and buyer AP portal connectivity
  • Drive data-driven product decisions tied to revenue growth, e-invoicing adoption, and retention
  • Own the roadmap for global e-invoicing compliance, including PEPPOL and VAT/GST mandates
  • Grow Billtrust’s AP portal network strategy and connectivity reliability
  • Partner with Payments to unify Invoicing and Payments into a single AR platform strategy
  • Lead, hire, and develop a team of 2-4 Product Managers
  • Define, prioritize, and manage the Invoicing backlog and annual planning baseline
  • Drive AI-powered invoice automation, touchless processing, exception handling, and intelligent workflows
  • Act as the primary commercial voice across Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Engineering
  • Lead competitive analysis, market research, go-to-market efforts, messaging, positioning, and enablement
  • Engage directly with customers to validate the roadmap, guide adoption, and build feedback loops
  • Monitor and report product KPIs including revenue growth, e-invoicing adoption, and retention/renewal
  • Travel quarterly for customer onsite meetings and events
  • Report to the VP of Product, Software

Requirements:

  • 8-10+ years of commercial and technical product management experience
  • 3-5+ years directly managing and developing Product Managers
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Experience in B2B fintech or SaaS
  • Direct exposure to invoicing, billing, or AR/AP workflows, including multi-currency or international invoicing requirements
  • Experience with AI-powered automation in a commercial product context
  • Experience with AP portal networks or invoice delivery/placement mechanics
  • Proven go-to-market and launch strategy experience
  • Deep commercial acumen covering revenue drivers, customer segments, pricing models, adoption behavior, TAM, ICP, and TCP
  • Experience working directly with enterprise customers to translate complex needs into scalable solutions
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder influence skills
  • Working knowledge of global e-invoicing compliance regimes such as PEPPOL and VAT/GST mandates preferred
  • Demonstrated success scaling mature products and leading transformation efforts preferred
  • Experience leading platform or application sunsets and complex migration programs preferred
  • Track record driving AI adoption and AI-first ways of working across a product team preferred
