Job Description
Director of Population Health Strategy at Wellstar leading analytics and reporting efforts for population health programs. Engaging in strategic leadership for data transformation and clinical integration initiatives in healthcare.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a key partner with leadership to shape and execute the overall mission and vision of the Wellstar Population Health, Care Coordination and Wellstar Clinical Partners Divisions
- Mentor and develop the analyst team to support innovation, optimize data-driven decision making and provide key insights
- Ensure that the clinical teams have the tools and knowledge to effectively manage the health of the targeted populations by delivering timely, actionable and accurate information
- Develop a cohesive reporting strategy to support the data, analytics and scorecards functions for all value based programs
- Mine and analyze data from internal databases and external sources to drive optimization and improvement of product development and marketing techniques
- Work directly with the AVP Population Management to build and manage the budget for Population Health Management
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive population health analytics strategic plan that aligns to system plans for data transformation and clinical integration
- Manage and mentor the analytical, strategic and project management resources within Population Health Management
Requirements:
- Masters Business Administration/Management or Masters Computer and Information Science
- Minimum 8 years experience in healthcare provider setting
- Minimum 4 years leadership experience in managing multiple, cross-function teams and projects
- Extensive experience in adopting and utilizing data and analytics tool and platforms to build program strategies
- Experience working with third-party consultants and technology firms to support strategic objectives and operations
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of the changing healthcare environment, especially as it relates to population health and value-based care arrangements
- Comprehensive understanding of enterprise information systems and relevant external data sources with the ability to develop reporting packages that promote data driven decision making
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office 365 products, especially Excel, Power Platform and PowerPoint
- Advanced SQL, Visual Basic and Tableau experience preferred
- Familiar with machine learning, AI, predictive models and other data science concepts
