Job Description

Director of Sales Strategy managing Americas Sales Strategy & Transformation team at Cisco. Focusing on long-range sales plans and high-impact GTM initiatives to drive growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, plan, and develop the Americas Sales Strategy & Transformation team
  • Oversee all aspects of strategy and transformation of recurring revenue and/or SaaS business
  • Develop and operationalize annual and long-range strategic sales plans using structured frameworks, internal/external data, and PMO methodologies
  • Identify and lead high-impact GTM initiatives that align with organizational goals, driving transformation across global markets
  • Act as the in-house authority using advanced analytics to synthesize complex data into actionable GTM recommendations for executive leadership
  • Translate complex growth plans into compelling narratives for the COO, SVPs, and the Executive Leadership Team

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, or sales leadership
  • Experience at a SaaS based organization with a deep understanding of ARR models
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related quantitative field
  • Proven experience leading, coaching, and developing high-performing strategy or sales teams
  • Demonstrated success in managing multi-million dollar coverage models and territory governance
  • Extensive experience presenting complex strategic recommendations to C-level or VP-level executives
  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree (preferred)
  • Corporate strategy experience at a Fortune 500 company (preferred)
  • Deep expertise in GTM strategy, including pricing, packaging, and channel/partner ecosystem alignment (preferred)
  • Experience in strategy for outcome based solutions (preferred)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize a portfolio of critical initiatives spanning 6–12 months within a global, matrixed organization (preferred)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
