Job Description
District Manager leading AbbVie’s immunology pharmaceutical sales across eastern Pennsylvania and Delaware. Coordinating field teams, sales plans, market strategy, and talent development.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate commercial activity within in-field teams to increase sales within the assigned geography
- Create, implement, and communicate the District Sales Plan and monitor progress
- Coordinate in-field activity to achieve results and agreed-upon targets
- Maximize market, segment, and team dynamics to drive top- and bottom-line results
- Ensure smooth, collaborative day-to-day and long-term business execution
- Set the tone and pace for business processes and organization
- Present market and franchise/business perspectives when leading teams and in-field meetings
- Develop mastery of product, disease-state, and managed-care information
- Coach, mentor, educate, and develop direct and indirect team members
- Hold direct reports accountable to behaviors and expectations
- Provide direction and insights to key internal partners during business planning

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field preferred, or relevant and equivalent industry experience required
- Minimum four years of pharmaceutical sales management experience; external management experience may be considered
- Business analysis and planning skills that drive sales performance
- Proven District Manager leadership experience
- Good standing with safety and compliance standards
- Currently meeting performance expectations
- Ability to articulate the scientific aspects of treatments and therapeutic areas
- Excellent judgment and decision-making skills
- Ability to deliver candid, effective feedback and manage performance efficiently
- Ability to develop talent for promotional opportunities
- Ability to create a culture of winning and full team engagement
- Must satisfy applicable health care industry representative credentialing requirements and be in good standing or eligible to obtain them
- Must drive a personal auto, company car or truck, or powered material-handling equipment
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test and meet safe driving requirements
